Kaitlyn and Tanner's wedding was one of the most fun weddings we've shot in a long time! Noy and I were welcomed with bright smiles and a relaxed atmosphere by everyone the minute we arrived.
Here's a bit of their story told by them:
Tanner and Kaitlyn met in 2014 at the ICU World Championship in Orlando, FL. He was on Team USA Coed and she was representing USA in the All Girl Partner Stunt division with a group from Hofstra.
After working a summer together on UCA Staff, they started their official relationship exactly one year after they met, while competing on the US National Team. Almost immediately after taking the floor at the ICU World Championship, still dressed in USA uniforms, watching the competition finish up from the bleachers, they began their forever.
Kaitlyn & Tanner willingly committed to a long distance relationship (something unfamiliar to both of them) between New York and Texas. They then moved to Memphis & Baton Rouge, still separated for professional growth. They only had the summers together for a couple years to follow and limited visits whenever they had enough airline reward miles for a trip.
In 2016, a job switch by Tanner finally brought them together in Memphis. Due to living together during camps all summer, the move-in process was nearly seamless. They complimented each other’s living styles perfectly.
Another job switch called for a move to Colorado, which was destined to be the place their love would flourish. They began traveling more frequently, hiking the mountains nearby, and taking up a hobby in snowboarding. Soon after, they began to find professional lives outside of cheerleading and settled in Golden, Colorado— a perfect distance between the airport and the mountain resorts. Their lives continued to flourish in love with the extension of their family of 3, graciously completed with their golden retriever, Millie.
Tanner proposed in March of 2020, just as a global pandemic changed the world we live in presently. The original wedding scheduled for June 2021 postponed, and the anxious couple decided to utilize the opportunity of no required witness to be married legally in their residential state. Kaitlyn & Tanner Lyday were pronounced Husband & Wife in a romantic elopement ceremony with just the two of them and a tripod/camera setup. It only seems fitting to have the party to celebrate local to the same area they pronounced themselves husband and wife.
VENUE: Evergreen Lake House
Located at Evergreen Lake, the Evergreen Lake House will be hosting both the ceremony and reception.
Kaitlyn found her dress in a short 7 tries while A & Be Bridal Shop allowed her mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law to be present during a pandemic!
Catering hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and staffing the open bar, is Encore Catering, who saved the day on short notice. Cupcakes/cake were from Doughp Sweets out of Denver!
The bridesmaids were dressed in “dusty blue” dresses from Azazie, while a power duo of friends, Kenna Harbaugh and Holly Kuffel, create the party’s makeup & hair looks.

The men’s blue suits are rented from Men’s Wearhouse, who made it easy to accommodate members of the party among different states.
A friend of the party, Riley Chase brought his talents to Kaitlyn & Tanner's party!
DECOR: Alphalit, Venus Et Fleur, and Rocky Mountain Specialties.
Kaitlyn and Tanner, THANK YOU for allowing us to document this time in your lives! We had an absolute blast with you on your wedding celebration day and we pray God's richest blessings on you throughout your marriage!
